The original Batman actor Adam West believes Ben Affleck will nail the Bruce Wayne persona in “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice.”

West spoke to Bloomberg about the release of his complete “Batman” television series DVD and Blu-ray set.

While West doesn’t has a favorite “Batman” adaptation, he’s confident Affleck has the skills to pull off the character in director Zack Snyder’s production.

"Ben Affleck will be very good. He's a fine actor and he'll bring something fresh, which is what you have to do," West said.

West’s comments differ drastically from fellow “Batman” actor Michael Keaton, who starred in Tim Burton’s adaptation of the iconic superhero character in “Batman” and “Batman Returns.”

During an interview with Entertainment Weekly back in October, Keaton said he doesn’t really care about seeing Snyder’s “Batman vs. Superman” production and offered no opinion on Affleck’s casting in the film.

“Chris Nolan is great, but I’ve never seen any of the Batman movies all the way through,” said Keaton. “I know they’re good. I just have zero interest in those kinds of movies. I mean, people are asking me, ‘Is Ben Affleck going to be any good?’

“And my attitude is, First of all, why would you ask me? Second, he’s probably going to be very good, and third, frankly, it’s all set up now so that you’re weirdly kind of safe. Once you get in those suits, they really know what to do with you. It was hard then; it ain’t that hard now.”

“Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” will be released to theaters on March 25, 2016.
