With the casting news connecting Jai Courtney as up for the role of Deadshot in the upcoming “Suicide Squad” comes the reveal of more characters in the film.

Variety reports the Joker, Harley Quinn, Captain Boomerang, Rick Flag, Lex Luthor and Deadshot would be featured in the film. Jared Leto is allegedly vying for the role of the Joker and Margot Robbie has already snagged Harley Quinn.

Will Smith is rumored to play Captain Boomerang while Tom Hardy is allegedly up for Rick Flag. Warner Bros. hasn’t released a comment regarding the movie.

Former “Walking Dead” star Jon Bernthal has also been linked to the film, but he potential role hasn’t been revealed.

Bernthal told a Wizard World Tulsa Comic Con panel crowd he enjoyed working on “Fury” with David Ayer, the director of the “Suicide Squad” movie, Renegade Cinema reported.

When the actor was asked if he would take a role in the “Suicide Squad” movie, Bernthal refused to comment.

“I can’t talk about that right now,” Bernthal said.

The Latino Review also reported supermodel turned actress Cara Delevinge being eyed for a female villain.

“Could it be Harley Quinn? I'm not sure at press time. She certainly looks the part plus Harley has a long association with the Suicide Squad, however earlier drafts of the script didn't have Harley included,” El Mayimbe wrote in a post for Latino Review.

Delevinge was believed to be up for Harley Quinn, but because Robbie has likely taken the role, she might be up for something else.

“That all can change since it is expected that David Ayer will take a crack at the script,” El Mayimbe wrote. “Will fill you guys in as more develops and I learn more. Suicide Squad is about a group of supervillains that are brought together to tackle high-risk black ops missions for the government.”
