“Fast & Furious” fans get ready for three more films with beautiful women, beautiful scenery and beautiful—and of course fast—cars. Vin Diesel announced “Fast & Furious 6” will be followed by a new “Fast & Furious” trilogy, according to an interview he did with Hitflix. The trilogy will start with “Fast & Furious 7.”

“Fast & Furious 6” signaled the end of Justin Lin’s run as the series’ director. James Wan, director of the horror series “Saw”, will take the lead for the seventh installment. Wan is expected to take the next movie in a different direction.

"'7' is the beginning of the next trilogy in the thought-out story," said Diesel who plays group leader Dominic Toretto. Diesel pointed out the first six current movies make up two different trilogies.

"The three stories of 7, 8 and 9 are mapped out in a structure, even if they're not signed off on," he added. “The direction of 7, 8 and 9 is clear.”

For those of you who watched the end of “Fast & Furious 6” (SPOILER ALERT: If you did not watch the latest “Fast & Furious” and don’t want to know what happened do not read any further) the movie seems to finally catch up with “Fast & Furious: Tokyo Drift.” We see Han (played by Sung Kang) purposely t-boned by another car. The driver steps out and the camera reveals famous action-movie actor Jason Statham.

Statham has already been slated to play Ian Shaw, Owen Shaw’s brother, according to the International Movie Database.

So, as of right now, it appears “Fast & Furious 7” will center around the revenge of Ian Shaw on the crew that brought down his brother.

“Fast & Furious 7” is currently shooting and its release in July 2014 has been confirmed. It is also expected to take place in some new locations and may even include some new cast members.
