Adrianne Paliciki and Nick Blood's verbal sparring exes Bobbi Morse and Lance Hunter have added a wonderful "Mr. and Mrs. Smith" element to "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." this season, but Palicki hungers to cross paths with another one of her exes in the Marvel universe.

The "Friday Night Lights" alum seemed to confirm that the broken marriage between her character Mockingbird and Avengers member Hawkeye in the Marvel comic books will also play into her character's backstory in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, in which "S.H.I.E.L.D." exists.

"The interesting thing is her relationship with Hawkeye did happen. It's a big part of the character. I'm interested to see if that ever comes up or is brought to light or is mentioned in the future," Palicki told Zap2It. "That would be awesome. ... She gets divorced a lot."

Jeremy Renner, who plays Hawkeye in the Marvel movies, expressed his interest in a guest-star appearance during a Reddit AMA last month. He made his debut as S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Clint Barton in 2011's "Thor" and reprised the role for "The Avengers" in 2012.

"I'm sure the folks at Marvel have ideas, and when they're strong enough, they'll bring 'em to me," Renner wrote. "But I love me some Clark Gregg, he's so great. We killed him and brought him back to life to do Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., he's so good!"

Renner will appear as Hawkeye again in next summer's "Avengers: Age of Ultron."

Palicki's Bobbi immediately became a fan favorite when she helped Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge) escape Hydra headquarters with an impressive set of martial arts skills. Her part of the S.H.I.E.L.D. will continue to grow and viewers will learn more about her past with Lance.

"You see Bobbi kind of expand with the team, and you get a sense of who she's known in the past and the relationships she's building," Palicki told Zap2It. "You start to peel back the layers of Bobbi, what her relationship was with Hunter. That definitely goes more in depth in the future. It's a fun ride."

As Bobbi situates herself under Director Coulson's command, Palicki works to become a part of the well-established Marvel universe and win over the fans. She experienced her first live-tweet during the season two episode "A Fractured House," conversing with bother her co-stars and fans of the show.

"It's really scary coming into a role like this," she says. "I mean, these are the people that have made Marvel what they are; who go see the movies, who watch 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,' who buy the comic books. Those are the people that really are the most important, I think, and their opinion does matter. You never get used to that. You have to dive in and just go full force and hope that they like you."

"Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." returns with a new episode on Tuesday, Nov. 11 at 9 p.m. on ABC.
