“Walking Dead” alum Jon Bernthal may be joining Margot Robbie in DC’s upcoming “Suicide Squad.”

Bernthal gushed to a Wizard World Tulsa Comic Con panel how much he enjoyed working on “Fury” with David Ayer, the director of the “Suicide Squad” movie, Renegade Cinema reported.

A fan asked if he would accept a role in the upcoming film, to which he refused to comment on.

“I can’t talk about that right now,” Bernthal told the crowd.

The “Walking Dead” alum’s response caused many to speculate that the actor could be in talks with DC to play a villain in the upcoming film. So far, “The Wolf of Wall Street” actress Margot Robbie has signed on to the “Suicide Squad” movie, according to Collider.

However, Warner Bros. has yet to confirm the casting decision. Robbie is allegedly set to play Harley Quinn, a role that was also reportedly offered to supermodel turned actress Cara Delevingne.

“Could it be Harley Quinn? I'm not sure at press time. She certainly looks the part plus Harley has a long association with the Suicide Squad, however earlier drafts of the script didn't have Harley included,” El Mayimbe wrote in a post for Latino Review.

“That all can change since it is expected that David Ayer will take a crack at the script. Will fill you guys in as more develops and I learn more. Suicide Squad is about a group of supervillains that are brought together to tackle high-risk black ops missions for the government.”

Actors Tom Hardy, Jared Leto, Ryan Gosling and Will Smith have also been thrown into the mix for potential villains in the film. DC’s “Suicide Squad” movie will be released to theaters some time in 2016.
