ABC gave "Selfie" an additional two weeks to avoid the same cancellation outcome of its former timeslot partner "Manhattan Love Story." Unfortunately, it too went into the heap of failed comedies this fall season.

The network made its decision to cancel after six episodes aired. The comedy stars "Doctor Who's" Karen Gillan as Eliza Dooley, a self-obsessed woman who wants to achieve fame through social media and hires image consultant Henry Higgs, played by John Cho, to help her do so.

"Selfie" is still scheduled to air during its regular time slot at 8 p.m. on Tuesday Nov. 11 and Nov. 18, paired with a re-run of "Modern Family." ABC ordered 13 episodes for the half-hour comedy, which premiered to 5.3 million viewers, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

ABC comedy "Black-ish" received a full season order of 22 episodes in early October. The network has yet to make a decision on its other new comedy "Cristela" and only has one more sitcom, "Fresh Off the Boat," set to premiere at midseason.

The dramas have fared better. ABC gave "Forever" a full season order, hours before cancelling Selfie. "How to Get Away With Murder" also received a full season order of 15 episodes at the same time as "Black-ish."

The new Marvel series "Agent Carter" will premiere in January along with "Galavant." Other ABC series yet to premiere include "American Crime," "The Astronaut Wives Club," "Secrets and Lies" and "The Whispers."

NBC also gave an early end to comedies "Bad Judge" and "A to Z." Fox cut back the order for its new comedy "Mulaney" from 16 to 13.
