An Oklahoma educator is in hot water after she was accused of piling kids into her car and stuffing two into her trunk while she ran an errand, KFor reported on Monday.

Heather Cagle, a math and yearbook teacher at Wells Middle School, has been suspended with pay, but the school board is having a hearing to see if she will be fired.

She is accused of needing to go to Wal-Mart, so she loaded 11 students into her Honda Accord and drove off. A woman named Julia's 12-year-old granddaughter and another child were put into the trunk because there wasn't enough room in the car.

"What if on the way to Wal-Mart, that trunk had been hit? Those children could have died. What if those children, wandering around Wal-Mart, one of them got snatched?" Julia asked.

A complaint filed with the police states that the kids wondered around the retail chain unsupervised before being driven back to school. Julia said Cagle was not given permission to take her granddaughter out of school, according to The Indy Channel.

The school board came together on Monday and decided to suspend Cagle. The superintendent is calling for her dismissal, but the board will be voting on the decision. It will be announced at a hearing in December.
