Hayden Panettiere is eight months pregnant and 40 pounds heavier.

The 25-year-old "Nashville" actress, who is expecting her first child with fiancé Wladimir Klitschko, recently opened up in Britain's Hello! Magazine about packing on the pregnancy pounds and walking down the aisle.

Panettiere told the publication that she gained 40 pounds since becoming pregnant, but blames that recent weight on her past as a former gymnast.

"I'm 5 feet, 2 inches, and I started out at 106 pounds and guess how much I weigh now? Around 145 pounds," the actress told Hello! Magazine, according to The Daily Mail. "And the worst part is that my feet are still size five and their going, 'What's going on with all this weight?' They're about to snap from underneath me with the strain."

She added, "I'm still quite muscular, so if you're running around carrying 40 pounds of extra weight you're going to build extra muscle."

The former "Heroes" star confirmed her pregnancy in May and later revealed that she was having a baby girl during an interview at the 2014 Emmys.

"I'm so ready to hold my baby girl - I'm going to be a very hands on mom," she said. "I'm thrilled that I am having a girl first because I feel like I know a lot about raising a strong woman. I feel very empowered myself and I think my daughter will, too."

Panettiere and Klitschko dated from 2009 to 2011 and rekindled their romance in April 2013. The actress confirmed her engagement in Oct. 2013 during an episode of ABC's "Live with Kelly and Michael.

When asked about her fiancé, Panettiere called him "resilient, calm and patient," adding that she has "never even heard this man raise a voice." Still, the soon-to-be mommy said she will not wed the Ukrainian boxer until she drops the pounds.

"I'll tell you one thing for sure: I am not walking down the aisle 40 pounds heavier than usual in a wedding dress with a huge pregnancy belly stitched in," she said. "Not happening."
