Could there be a Knowles wedding in the near, near future? According to reports, Tina Knowles is engaged to her longtime boyfriend, Richard Lawson. Media Take Out reported on Friday that Beyonce's mom will be headed down the aisle soon after Lawson supposedly popped the question earlier this week.

"A VERY CREDIBLE person close to Tina told us that Tina and Richard were engaged earlier this week," the site wrote. "When we heard the news, we got a warm feeling in our heart. We are TRULY HAPPY for them and wish them ALL THE BEST on this next chapter in their lives."

The "Diva" singer hasn't mentioned anything on social media about her mother's rumored engagement and Tina has not confirmed the news. Back in June MTO also reported that Beyonce's sister, Solange Knowles, was engaged but that too was never confirmed.

Whether Tina is rocking a brand new diamond ring or not, the 60-year-old businesswoman did open up about her relationship with Lawson and her split from Mathew Knowles at the International Women & Money Leadership luncheon in Houston, Texas.

"One day my world just exploded and I knew I had to get a divorce," she said, according to MadameNoire.com. "And at 58 years old, that's a very hard, difficult thing. It does something to your whole self-esteem and psyche, because I had been married for 33 years. I knew that I didn't have a choice but to do that. It was a very hard time. I was very sad. The amazing thing is, when you look at someone else, you look at them and say, 'They're attractive. They have a lot of good stuff going on for them. They have no right to have low self-esteem. They have no right to feel sorry for themselves.' Well, it doesn't matter, you're a human being. And when something strikes you like that, it takes the breath out of you. But my fight came back. I let myself feel sorry for myself for a minute and then I said, 'You know, I'm so blessed to have all the opportunities that I have. And I don't have the right to feel sorry.'"

She also revealed that her relationship with Lawson started off as a friendship and she initially never considered dating him.

"So [my friend] Monica called him up and we went by his acting school and he took us out to eat afterwards and my friend says, 'Ok Richard, do you know any men?' And he's like, 'Well, what's she looking for?' So I say, 'You know, I want somebody with integrity, that believes in God, that likes to dance, likes to have fun and appreciates art.' And he's like, 'Oh, well, what about me?' And we both say, 'Hell no!' So he says, 'Ok, well, I'll see who I can think of.'"

Tina said they eventually went on a lunch date and have been together ever since.
