The siblings of Travis Alexander, who was slain by convicted murderer Jodi Arias six years ago, described to an Arizona court room on Thursday the emotional trauma they continue to endure in the aftermath of their brother's gruesome death, The Arizona Republic reported.

Steven Alexander, the victim's younger brother, told the Maricopa County jury he has bad dreams of Arias slitting his throat, the same way she did to her boyfriend Travis after stabbing him dozens of times in what prosecutors called a jealous rage.

"My wife has woken me up from a nightmare because I was screaming in my sleep," Steven Alexander told the jury during Arias' sentencing retrial, The Arizona Republic reported.

Travis' younger sister, Tanisha Sorenson, said during her victim-impact statement she is forever scarred by pictures of her brother's dead body that were displayed throughout Arias' 2013 trial.

"Now the autopsy photos of my brother's decomposing body and mummified face are the images I can't get out of my head,' Sorenson said according to the newspaper.

The Maricopa County jury is hearing testimonies from both sides to decide if whether or not Arias is to receive the death penalty for killing Travis in 2008 when he tried to break up with her. She stabbed him nearly 30 times before slitting his throat and shooting him in the head.

Arias was found guilty for the murder last year, but the jury was unable to decide if she should serve life in prison or receive the death penalty, the Associated Press reported.

A crying Sorenson told the courtroom her brother wanted kids, kids she dreamed of one day meeting.

"Travis doesn't get to have that life," she said according to The Arizona Republic. "He doesn't get to have those children."

It is unclear if the victim's family wants Arias put to death. They are not allowed to voice their opinion on the matter during their testimonies, The Arizona Republic noted.
