“Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” actress Gal Gadot’s solo film may have an official setting and storyline.

The first “Wonder Woman” film, which is scheduled for a 2017 release, will allegedly take place during the 1920s. The solo movie will dive into the history of the demi god.

“I have been informed by those who have seen the greenlit treatment that the film will spends the first half on Paradise Island with warring Amazon factions vying for control,” according to Bleeding Cool.

“An arrival of a man on the island changes that status quo, as he asks the Amazons for help. Not necessarily Steve Trevor either…Because when Wonder Woman joins him on his return to the world of Man, we all discover that it is the 1920s.”

The production is allegedly set in the 1920s due to the shift in Women’s Rights during the time. Diana Prince will have to face the prejudice of an era where women fought for (and won) the right to vote.

Warner Bros. and DC are also reportedly searching for a female director to helm their “Wonder Woman” solo film.

Warner Bros. may be searching for a female director to helm Gal Gadot’s solo Wonder Woman debut. Forbes film blogger Mark Hughes (via ComicBookMovie) published a list of directors the studio is vetting to take on the gig.

"This list includes Catherine Hardwicke (Twilight), Mimi Leder (Deep Impact), Karyn Kusama (Girlfight), and Julie Taymor, the woman responsible for the disaterous Broadway musical Spider-Man: Turn off the Dark," ComicBookMovie reports. "However, she has found acclaim for her work on The Tempest and others. Also being considered are TV directors Michelle MacLaren (Game of Thrones) and Tricia Brook (The Walking Dead)."
