"Body Party" singer Ciara, is being sued for canceling an appearance she was scheduled to make at a gay bar according to TMZ.

The 27-year-old diva allegedly inked a $10,000 deal to appear at "The Factory," a gay bar in West Hollywood, Friday night but plans not follow through. The club is reportedly asking to be reimbursed for money used to promote the event and potential lost of revenue due to her absence. There have been no reports of a grand total.

According to TMZ, Ciara's absence is a result of the "restrictions in her contract with the L.A pride event."

"Ciara's commitment to perform at L.A Gay Pride on Saturday night prevented her from making such a Friday night appearance. Despite being notified early last week that Ciara could not appear, the Factory continued to market and promote Ciara's appearance.," a rep for the star told TMZ. "The reason for the continued marketing/promotion is unclear, as it is not known why The Factory would intend to continue to mislead the public, to cause damage to the L.A Gay Pride festival and to attempt to portray Ciara in a negative light."

The rep continued to say the $10,000 deal in question was never finalized so the lawsuit is "bogus." Ciara has not made a statement regarding the matter.

Ciara is currently promoting the anticipated release of her fifth studio album "Ciara."  Her highly publicized relationship with rapper-boyfriend Future has been discussed in recent interviews on her promotional tour.

"I like a guy that can be tough on the outside but they have to have a heart on the inside and the one thing you'll say about him is that he has a heart and he is just super cool," she told radio station 107.9.
