San Antonio Spurs guard Tony Parker proved Thursday night why he is one of the NBA's premier point guards with an amazing, buzzer-beating shot in the waning seconds of the NBA Finals.

It was a broken play. With 17 seconds left in regulation, Parker dribbled from the perimeter, toward the paint, back outside, fell, stood, spun past LeBron James and tossed up a shot just as the shot clock lit up -- it bounced twice and dropped in.  The wild, circus-like shot pushed San Antonio to a 92-88 lead with 5.2 seconds left, all but sealing the first game of the NBA Finals.

The Spurs held out the next possession and won, 92-88.

"It was a crazy play.  I thought I lost the ball about three or four times," Parker told reporters after the game.  "At the end I was just trying to get a shot up. It felt good when it left my hand and I was happy when it went it."
