A man and woman were arrested for stabbing a mother to death in front of her children over a parking space dispute in South Los Angeles last week.

Reggie Cervantes, 22, and Brenda Rangel, 19, were fighting with victim Elizabeth Yanez, 43, over a parking space.

"It escalated," son Daniel Crable tells Fox 2 Now. "It went from one to 10 in a matter of seconds. The next thing you know this man is out of his car."

Crable told KTLA the family even offered to give up their spot when teh fight started seriously intensifying fast.

Police arrived at the scene after the pair stabbed Yanez and found her on the ground with several stab wounds in her neck and back, reports LA Times. They rushed her to the UC Irvine Medical Center, where she died.

"It doesn't make sense to me," daughter, Renee Crable tells Fox 2 Now. "For a parking space, it was just uncalled for. I mean I just don't understand how ... I'm supposed to go on with my life now."

Authorities were able to track down the suspects because they left their fingerprints on the victim's car.

Rangel and Cervantes were arrested and are both being held on $1 million bail.
