"The McCarthys" is a new series that features a family full of sports fanatics ... well, mostly. Fitting in is a struggle for Ronny, an "athletically-challenged" gay son, who has absolutely no interest in sports.

Based in Boston, the cast will make their best attempts to replicate the well-known accent from the area.

Ronny's focus is geared toward finding a mate and moving away from Boston, a decision that has his mother, Marjorie, a bit distraught. She's not too thrilled about the possibility that her favorite son may move away from the family.

Ronny's future plans are thrown off when his father, Arthur, selects him - over his much more qualified siblings - to be his assistant high school basketball coach.

Surprised by his father's unexpected offer, Ronny chooses to embark on a different journey - one that will leave viewers "laughing out loud" as he tries to inherit the same interests as his sports-crazed family members.

Will Ronny get along with his politically incorrect and outspoken father? We will see.

"The McCarthys" will premiere on Thursday, October 30, at 9:30/8:30c on CBS.

"2 Broke Girls" is returning to CBS for its fourth season, and remains a popular comedy that's relatable to its young adult viewers - hence the title.

Max (Kat Dennings) and Caroline (Beth Behrs), the "2 broke girls," are trying to make ends meet and working multiple jobs in order to reach their dream of launching a successful business. As waitresses, Max didn't expect to form a friendship with Caroline, but after some time working together, she discovered they have more in common than she originally thought.

When Caroline learned (in earlier seasons) that Max is an expert at baking cupcakes, the duo realized that Max's talents could earn them some dough - literally.

At the start of season four, we know that the girls have already accomplished their big goal: opening a cupcake shop (even though it is set up at a window in the back of the diner where they work, it still counts).

However, I'm sure they weren't expecting a certain person to show up looking for a sweet treat. Kim Kardashian will appear in the premiere episode and ask the girls for permission to shoot an episode of "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" at their "shop."

Apparently, Kardashian was quite the sport when she read the script that included jokes about her famed reality star family, according to TVLine.

"She was the cherry on top," said executive producer Michael Patrick King, in regards to Kardashian's role on the show.

"2 Broke Girls" will air on Monday, October 27, at 8/7c on CBS.

Jonny Lee Miller (Detective Sherlock Holmes) and Lucy Liu (Dr. Joan Watson) return for season three of CBS' "Elementary," which will now be based in Manhattan and will follow the lives of the crime-solving duo.

In earlier seasons, Holmes, a recovering drug addict, utilized Watson as a companion to help him through his struggles with maintaining sobriety. Watson is a surgeon, and after she lost one of her patients when a procedure went awry, she was looking to find comfort through helping others.

Because Holmes learned to trust Watson, he offered her a position as an apprentice. Watson acted as a support system for the detective and helped to keep him "grounded."

However, season three will introduce new characters, and some of them may not be so fond of one another. Could a new person try to come between Holmes and Watson's bond?

"When Holmes and Watson join forces on a double homicide, Sherlock's new apprentice, Kitty, threatens the investigation when she allows her jealousy of Sherlock and Joan's work rapport to override her better judgment," according to Cartermatt.

There may be a cat fight in the future - meow!

"Elementary" premieres Thursday, October 30, at 10/9c on CBS.
