Google is bringing one of the most adventurous panoramic images of the Gombe National Park to its Street View gallery.

Google, the world's largest internet search company, is on the verge of making its mapping service more than just a guide for new routes. With the Street View project, the company has covered the world's most historical places for the world to see from the comfort of their homes. Expanding the extensive gallery of panoramic images, Google added Tuesday the adventurous lives of chimpanzees in the Gombe National Park in Tanzania.

Google's journey started off when the web giant was invited by the Jane Goodall Institute to add the breathtaking views of the natural habitat of chimpanzees. The web giant's Street View team had expert-guidance from the members of Jane Goodall Institute and Tanzania National Parks, which is shown in the newly added imagery.

"Pushing through the brush, carrying the Street View Trekker, we collected thousands of 360 degree images along the narrow paths of the park to share with the world," wrote Allie Lieber, Program Manager of Google Earth Outreach, in a company's official blog, Tuesday. "We first stopped at a location Jane calls "The Peak"-her favorite vantage point. I could imagine her looking out over the canopies, peering tirelessly through her binoculars, writing in her notebook, and observing these beautiful animals as they swung through the trees."

The latest imagery added to the Street View collection shows chimpanzees in different acts, Gombe's natural habitat, Dr. Jane Goodall's house, Lake Tanganyika and lot more. Google used its portable Trekker to reach intense places. The updated gallery is an addition to the Jane Goodall Insititute's current monitoring efforts using satellite imagery, which protects 85 percent of the remaining chimpanzees in Africa.

Google has added various places to its digital library, which would take years for one to visit in vacations. Most recently, the company added the views from Egypt, capturing the Great Pyramid of Giza, the Great Sphinx, the Hanging Church, the Cairo Citadel Citadel of Qaitbay and Abu Mena.
