Grand Theft Auto V, one of the most anticipated games of the year, won’t be presented at the Electronic Entertainment Expo, E3, on Monday. It will also not be available on the Xbox One or PlayStation 4. Strauss Zelnick, CEO of Take-Two—which distributes the game—said neither of these facts will pose a problem for the game, according to MCV.

“Grand Theft Auto V is the most highly anticipated release of our biggest franchise," said Zelnick. "It features the largest, most dynamic and most diverse open world Rockstar Games has yet created. The installed base of current generation consoles is estimated to be in excess of 120 million, and most of those consumers have been waiting for Grand Theft Auto V for years. Therefore, we expect there to be enormous consumer demand for Grand Theft Auto V regardless of when the next-generation consoles are released."

The release date for fifth installment in the GTA series is September 17. This puts it just a few weeks ahead of the expected debuts for both the Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

A bit of buzz was recently generated around the highly anticipated successor to GTA IV after a fan’s creation was said to have revealed the map for the fifth installment.

According to the Huffington Post, the map was created using bits and pieces from trailers, screenshots and photos of the Grand Theft Auto V collector’s edition. The game’s setting will be in Los Santos.

The map shows a bunch of towns, the city, and some islands that will make up the game’s landscape.

Not everyone is buying the map’s credibility. On GTAForums.com, a person with the user name “DTUMan” said, “It's fake - a combination of the actual part of the map that was already revealed; and a fan made map.”

Another person with the username “poklane” also said the map was “fake.”
