TV Land's original sitcom "Hot in Cleveland" gearing up for its summer season with a few special guest stars. Most notably is the former captain of the Starship Enterprise on "Star Trek: The Original Series", William Shatner who will be guest starring for at least the live season premiere.

The episode will premiere live on the East Coast on June 19 at 10 p.m. ET. The West Coast version will only be able to see a live taping of the show three hours later at 10 p.m. PT.

According to the show's official blog on Tumblr, "The show will begin where the winter season finale left off - there will be mobsters, mistaken identities, special guest stars and twists and turns."

"Hot in Cleveland" centers around the lives of four 40-something women (Valerie Bertinelli, Jane Leeves, Wendie Malick and Betty White), who were on a flight to Paris when it had to unexpectedly make an emergency landing in Cleveland. Finding it a refreshing change of pace from the societal norms of Los Angeles, the girls decide to stay in Cleveland and celebrate a city that values them in a place where they are still considered to be "hot."

In reference to his co-star Betty White, Shatner, 82, reportedly joked "At long last, I am working with someone who is older than me."

White, 91, plays Elka Ostrovsky on the successful TV Land sitcom.

Despite being a television actor, Shatner is no stranger to live performance. He has had an extensive career in theater and has hosted "Saturday Night Live" in the past.

In addition to Shatner's guest role on the live season premiere. Brian Baumgartner, fresh off of his final performance on NBC's "The Office" as loveable oaf Kevin, will also join the Cleveland crew for the premiere.
