DC Entertainment Publisher Jim Lee released Marvel Creator Stan Lee’s version of Wonder Woman on his official Twitter account.

The image was a redraw of Stan’s creation, which was published more than ten years ago as a part of the “Just Imagine” comics he teamed up with DC to help create.

The premise of the “Just Imagine” comic series was that Stan was given free reign to reimagine the characters as long as he kept their superhero names the same, according to ComicBook.comStan reimagined Batman, Flash, Superman, Wonder Woman and more.

Stan’s Wonder Woman was named Maria Mendoza and had Peruvian roots. Maria’s powers came from the Incan mythology instead of Diana Prince’s Gretian lore.

The Marvel Co-Creator has spoken about the covers. Most recently, Stan Lee took a dig at DC Comics while attending a panel audience at Fan Expo Canada back in September.

A fan asked Stan to share his thoughts on the DC characters and how he felt about the Warner Bros. bringing them to life in crossover films.

“It’s funny you say that. I don’t know why but years ago DC comics asked me if I would write my version of their characters, and I wrote my own version of Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash and the Green Lantern,” he explained.

“The terrible thing about it is that the stories were too good and they were illustrated beautifully, but there is no way DC can make movies of them cause DC would be putting down their own characters,” Stan continued. “I feel sorry for DC. They would really make great movies.”

“Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” is slated to hit theaters on March 25, 2016. “Wonder Woman” starring Gal Gadot is scheduled for a June 2017 release.
