Add another record to Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning's illustrious resume: most career touchdowns ever. Manning broke Brett Favre's record of 508 touchdowns on Sunday night against the San Francisco 49ers, further cementing his spot in the league as one of the best signal callers to ever play.

Manning's 509th touchdown pass was his third score of the night, coming on an 8-yard pass to receiver Demaryius Thomas with 3:09 left in the first half. A short tribute played in the stadium to commemorate the moment while his teammates congratulated him on the sideline.

Favre, who spoke in the past about being happy for Manning if he broke his record, took to Twitter to congratulate the future Hall of Famer.

Cleveland Cavaliers superstar LeBron James also applauded Manning's accomplishment on Twitter.

Manning finished the game going 22-of-26 for 318 yards and four touchdowns. When asked earlier this week about the potentially beating Favre's record, he shrugged it off and said there're other things he's focusing on.

"I think we've concentrated on the important things. We've had two good wins coming off a bye week - an early bye week," Manning said, via ESPN. "I think you're curious how you're going to respond, especially if you have a little bit of rhythm going and you're playing decent football and then you have an early bye week. Do you come out sluggish? Do you lose anything that you had? I think we've responded well coming off that bye week and have had two good wins playing excellent teams. So that's what I've concentrated on, trying to do whatever it takes to win and I don't feel like it's been a distraction because we've handled it and focused on what's important."
