The wait is over. Season 5 of AMC's "The Walking Dead" premiered Sunday night (Oct. 12) and it had us on the edge of our seats - and screaming at the TV - the entire time. The hour-long show had a few sweet moments - did you see the way Daryl hugged Carol?! - but was also full of twists and turns. We actually felt a little bad for the Termites? Just a little.

Check out our recap of the Season 5 premiere "No Sanctuary" but be warned it does contain spoilers.

The episode started off with a bang. Gareth's men took Rick, Daryl, Carl and Bob into a slaughter room to be... well, slaughtered. He made them line up on their knees bound and gagged in front of a trough with four other guys from train car D.

One by one, a scary-looking bald man swung his bat at the men's heads, knocking them out while another man slit their throats. He was about to take a whack at Glenn when Gareth walked in and briefly interrupted. The bat-wielding man was interrupted a second time when an explosion went off, which we later learned was Carol's doing.

Speaking of Carol, at the same time Rick and the others were being carted off to the slaughter room, Carol, Tyreese and baby Judith were still making their way towards Terminus. Back in the woods, she saw a walker and killed it but then noticed a herd walking towards them.

The three quietly hid among the trees but the walkers got distracted when they heard gunfire at Terminus. Carol, Tyreese and Judith continued through the woods and came across a Termite by himself at a cabin. The man becomes their hostage, Carol grabs a few weapons and leaves Tyreese and Judith in the cabin so she can go and save Rick and the others.

In order to safely get to Terminus without being attacked by the walkers, Carol smears zombie-guts on her face and body. Once she arrives to Terminus, all hell breaks loose.

Back in the slaughter room, Rick took advantage of the bomb distraction and slipped a knife out of his pant leg, stabbing one of the guys in the neck. He then goes after the second man. Together, Rick, Carl, Bob and Daryl fight their way back to train car A to free the others.

Meanwhile, Carol comes face-to-face with Mary, who explains that Terminus was a safe haven at first but people came and "took" it. Mary and her people did whatever they could to take over Terminus again. She explains to Carol, "you're either the butcher, or you're the cattle."

It did make us feel a tad bit sad for the Terminus people but Carol felt not one ounce of sympathy. She shot Mary in the leg and left her to be attacked by walkers.

Now, back to the cabin. For whatever reason, Tyreese decided not to go ahead and kill the Termite who kept babbling about how the baby and Tyreese were going to die. While Tyreese was looking out the window at a passing herd, the Termite escaped and made a lunge for baby Judith, putting his hand around her neck, threatening to strangle her. The baby starts crying, which attracts the walkers and the Termite forces Tyreese to go outside with the swarm of zombies.

We'll admit Tyreese had us a little worried this episode, but he gained some points back when he went all-Rambo on the zombies and killed the Termite - thus saving baby Judith's life. He's slowly climbing his way back up into our good graces.

At Terminus, everyone in Rick's group escaped, including Carol who is welcomed back with open arms and a really big hug from Daryl. They then meet up with Tyreese and Judith for a second reunion. The episode ends with the group making their way through the woods when Rick comes across a sign for Terminus. Using mud, he writes "NO" over the word "Sanctuary."

During the post credits, AMC teased a clip showing someone is following the group. It turned out to be Morgan, Rick's friend who was introduced in Season 1. The last time we seen Morgan, his son had died and he was a tad bit crazy. We couldn't help but wonder if Morgan will be a friend to group or an enemy?
