Could Kate Middleton be eating for three? The 32-year-old Duchess of Cambridge announced her second pregnancy last month, but a new report claims that she and Prince William are expecting twin girls.

According to Star magazine (via Hollywood Life), Middleton and Prince William have already started sharing the news with their close friends and family. A source told the gossip magazine that the couple found out after a recent ultrasound.

"When they looked at the screen and saw two tiny human beings, they were completely overwhelmed," a source told Star. "Will said Kate's mouth dropped open and her eyes almost popped out of her head, then she squealed, 'Oh my God!' He'll never forget the look on her face - it must have been priceless."

Reportedly, Prince William called his father to let him know the news and then drove to Windsor Castle to tell Queen Elizabeth in person. Last month it was reported that Middleton was still early on in her pregnancy and she only announced the news because she was forced to cancel a royal appearance due to severe morning sickness.

At the end of September, she was supposed to start her first solo royal tour to Malta, but she had to cancel the engagement. According to the Palace, Middleton suffers from hyperemesis gravidarum, which makes her extremely sick. The Duchess experienced the same condition during her first pregnancy with Prince George.

"Her Royal Highness continues to suffer from the effects of hyperemesis gravidarum," the palace said in a statement at the time. "The decision not to visit was taken by the Duke and Duchess on the advice of the Duchess' doctors."

According to US Weekly, Middleton also cancelled an event scheduled for next Monday, Oct. 13 because of her severe morning sickness. She was supposed to visit Olympic sailor Sir Ben Ainslie's America's Cup team base.

"She had plans to go to the team's new headquarters in the Camber Docks at Old Portsmouth," the source told US. "The engagement was never formally announced."
