The Cleveland Cavaliers reportedly are content to start the season with their current roster of bigs.  Contrary to previous reports about Cleveland seeking a rim-protector, Chuck Myron of Hoops Rumors reports the team is going to hold off until at least Dec. 15.

Cleveland's biggest weakness this season is at the rim.  Speculation has ranged from signing free agent Emeka Okafor to trading for Denver Nuggets centers Timofey Mozgov or JaVale McGee.  Myron, though, doesn't foresee the Cavaliers making a move until later in the season.

"It sounds like (general manager) David Griffin isn't too worried about his rim protection, at least at this point, so I wouldn't expect him to make a move before the start of the season," Myron wrote on Wednesday.  "I think he'd like to get a look at how it all meshes and revisit the idea of tinkering after December 15th, when most players signed in the offseason can be traded."

There've been talks of Cleveland playing forward Tristan Thompson at center, even though he would be considerably undersized at 6-foot-9.  Okafor is still an option later in the season, especially since it's believed he won't be medically cleared from his neck injury until later anyways.

Myron confirmed Cleveland's interest in Mozgov, but it's uncertain how much Cleveland would be willing to give up for him.
