BlackBerry's square-shaped Passport handset in gold has been spotted  online although the company has launched only black and white editions till date.

BlackBerry, the renowned brand for corporate smartphones, is reviving its image in the industry with a refreshed line of devices. In its latest approach to take on its tech rivals, the Canadian firm launched BlackBerry Passport. The device's unique design got quite an impressive response from consumers. BlackBerry skipped the popular golden hue for its Passport and launched the Black and White editions.

While the official release of the gold edition Passport is not marked, CrackBerry posted new pictures of the Passport in gold. The leaked images show the so-called Gold Edition Passport out of its retail packaging that features the company's brand, logo and the device's name.

In one of the three pictures leaked by the publication, the Passport in gold hue is tagged with the word "parisrosegold." According to SlashGear, Paris Rose Gold is a company that builds smartphones in gold. But the company's official website does not feature any pictures of the BlackBerry Passport in gold.

BlackBerry introduced the square-screened Passport last month at various events in London, Toronto and Dubai. It features a Full HD resolution for its 4.5-inch display with a 13-megapixel rear facing camera, 32GB internal storage and a large 3450mAh battery. The Passport is powered by a 2.2GHz processor backed by 3GB RAM. The square screen also makes room for a unique touch-enabled keyboard in the standard QWERTY style.

BlackBerry is selling the device for $599 in the U.S.  through Amazon.
