Oscar winning actress Kate Winslet and her husband Ned Rocknroll are expecting their first child together, her rep confirms to UsWeekly.

"Winslet knows how much Ned Rocknroll (Winslet's husband) wants to be a father," a source is quoted as saying. "She thinks they would have the most adorable kid together, so they're planning on getting pregnant by the end of the year. Having a child together is her absolute priority," the source added.

Winslet and Rocknroll were married in December. Rocknroll is the nephew of entrepreneur Richard Branson.

Winslet and Rocknroll met in August 2011 and tied the knot in a private ceremony in December 2012. The 34-year-old is the nephew of Richard Branson.

The actress' first marriage was to Jim Threapleton, a film director, with whom she has a daughter, Mia, who turns 12 next month. The marriage lasted for three years after which they divorced in 2001.

Two years later, she married director Sam Mendes on a Caribbean island, going on to have son Joe Alfie in 2003. The marriage lasted for 7 years. The pair divorced in 2010.

Back in 2006 in an interview with InStyle magazine, Winslet opened up about her desire to have more children.  "I'm hoping to have more kids. I don't know whether one or two. Oh, God, I would love to have more."

Meanwhile, Jennifer Love Hewitt also revealed on Tuesday that she is expecting her first child with her boyfriend and "The Client List" co-star Brian Hallisay.
