A British sex toy site, Lovehoney, put together a poll to see who the top contenders are to play Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele in the upcoming movie "50 Shades of Grey." According to their poll results and the Daily Mail, fan-favorites Ian Somerhalder and Alexis Bledel received the highest number of votes for the leading sexy billionaire and shy, innocent college student.

Somerhalder was followed closely by Henry Cavill, the star of the new Superman movie "Man of Steel" and Ryan Gosling. Almost one in six people polled chose the "Vampire Diaries" star, the Daily Mail reports. Bledel just beat out Anne Hathaway and Emma Stone for the role of Steele. Hathaway has not been a popular name in the casting rumors and Stone already said she is not interested in being cast in the movie.

"This is the first time fans have been asked who they think should play Christian and Ana," a spokesman for Lovehoney told the Daily Mail. "It will be interesting to see if movie bosses agree with their choices."

The poll also revealed that "Fifty Shades" fans are begging the movie bosses not to "tone down the sex scenes" with 90 percent of people saying that "it would be wrong to remove the raunchy bondage scenes."

Perez Hilton reports that Kelly Marcel, the hired screenwriter for the movie, has already said she is aiming for a NC-17 rating.

"There is going to be a lot of sex in the film. It will be NC-17. It's going to be raunchy. We are 100 percent going there," Marcel said in an interview about the film. "We did go through and decide which are our favorite (scenes) and which are not. Most of them are in there, but I can't say more than that.

The NC-17 could be looked as a good thing and a positive. The gossip website writes that fans will be pleased to see that all the action remains very close to how it was portrayed in the book but others may feel it is too racy and will not feel comfortable watching the movie on the big screen.

According to the Daily Mail, sex scenes in Hollywood are becoming scarce because "studio bosses say an adult-only rating restricts a film's audience and box office potential." Reportedly, the last film to have a raunchy sex scene was "Titanic" in 1997 but fans feel it would be a big mistake for the movie bosses to soften the sex scenes between Grey and Steele.

"There is a huge excitement about the film but, if the fans are right, it will be a big mistake to make a Fifty Shades-light version with the bondage left out," the Lovehoney spokesman told the Daily mail. "I am sure the final version will be amazing."

The poll also showed that the majority of people, seven out of ten, felt regardless of the ratings the books will be raunchier than the movie. They also believe the movie will not as popular as the books. The book sold 70 million copies worldwide.
