NBC Sports' Josh Elliott is engaged.

The former "Good Morning America" co-anchor proposed to his girlfriend of two years, WABC's "Eyewitness News" anchor Liz Cho, while vacationing in Europe just before Labor Day, Us Weekly reported.

"He gave her a simple gold band that was a family heirloom and meant a lot to him," a source said to New York Post Page Six. "It's been very low-key, and people may not have even realized she was engaged, because she's not wearing a standard diamond engagement ring. They had been so discreet about the engagement, they have just started revealing the news to close family and friends."

Former "Good Morning America" co-anchor, Sam Champion, took to Twitter to confirm the news of his friend's engagement, and wrote, "Im not going to b at work tomorrow. @JoshElliott32 and @LizCho7 announced their engagement tnite!! I LOVE U 2!"

Elliott then retweeted his friend's post and added, "Friends get no better..." He also thanked publicist Kelly Cutrone, New York Post news editor Jamie McCarty and his former "GMA" segment producer, Mike Del Moro, for their well wishes.

This will be the second marriage for both TV journalists, who started dating in 2012.

Elliott was previously married to ex-wife Priya Narang, and the couple have a 6-year-old daughter named Sarina. Cho was married to Evan Gottlieb from 2008 to 2012 and they have a 7-year-old daughter, Louisa.
