Apple seeded the first beta version of the iOS 8.1 update  with several tweaks for registered developers on Monday.

Apple, the renowned smartphone making company, appears to be on the fast-track with its mobile OS updates following initial critical setbacks. Although, the company has addressed most of the issues in the iOS 8.0.2 update, Apple is rushing to the next major update, iOS 8.1. According to a report by9to5Mac, the release notes for the iOS 8.1 beta for registered developers show several tweaks, improvement and changes.

The roll out of iOS 8.1 beta to developers closely follows the public release of iOS 8.0.2, which mainly addressed the problems with iOS 8.0.1 and iOS 8. This is one of the fastest iOS x.1 releases, as Apple usually waits for a couple of months after the new version is released, BGR reports.  Based on the release notes, the iOS 8.1 will likely include several bug fixes for issues with the iOS 8 along with anticipated support for Apple Pay, company's newly launched mobile payments solution launching in October.

Apple's rush toward the next big update is understandable as the company considers Apple Pay as the future of mobile payments. Alongside Apple Pay, the Cupertino based tech giant also seeded a new Apple TV software beta with support for Family Sharing as well as new assets for testing Airplay and HomeKit.

The iOS 8.1 beta update has arrived with build number 12B401. According to MacRumors, Apple is simultaneously working on iOS 8.2 and iOS 8.3 updates, which will bring a slew of new features and functions to the operating system.

Some of the changes noted in the changelog include bigger icons in the Notification Center's widget list, optional dictation for Siri, "Recently Added" in photo album renamed as "Camera Roll", changes to some of the icons, changes in the security permissions and more.

Developers can download the latest build of the iOS 8.1 beta directly via Apple's Developer Portal.
