Rapper Big Sean is finally opening up about his relationship with Ariana Grande.

The couple were first romantically linked late this summer before the release of their collaboration track "Best Mistake." They were also spotted holding hands backstage at the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards.

During an "On Air with Ryan Seacrest" appearance on Friday, the rapper was asked about his relationship with the 21-year-old songstress. Big Sean mentioned that he likes to keep "his personal life private," but shared his admiration for his rumored girlfriend.

"I'm like a big fan, I know where I'm at. I'm at 'On Air with Ryan Seacrest,'" Big Sean said. "[But] I like to keep my personal life personal. You know what I'm saying? But I am going to tell you this: That Ariana is very, very special. She's very special to me. Everything she has going on is good with her, everything I have going on is good with me, everything between me and her is good, and I'm just going to leave it at that."

The "To the World" rapper was also grilled about his new song "I Don't F--k With You," which was reportedly targeted at his ex-fiancée, "Glee" actress Naya Rivera. Big Sean told Seacrest that he wrote the song when he and Rivera were still an item.

"I was just honestly putting myself in a perspective, man," he said. "As an artist, you just have to do that sometimes. It's funny how records, sometimes they relate to you more later on, sometimes they don't. Obviously it kind of fits my situation."

Big Sean and Rivera called off their engagement in April. Three months later, the actress married actor Ryan Dorsey on the same day she was set to marry the rapper.

Last month, Grande was also questioned about her relationship with Big Sean.

"I mean, I guess, curiosity man, it'll kill you," she told Seacrest. "I don't know what to say, Ryan. Why are you doing this to me? I'll tell you when we're not on the air. I trust you. I've known you a long time. I don't know about these millions of people listening in right now."
