Looking good, Michael Weatherly.

The 46-year-old "NCIS" actor has dropped 35 pounds over the past four months, and credits his recent slim-down to swimming, according to an article in Closer Weekly. The actor revealed he was inspired by his loved ones and one of the crew members from his "NCIS" family.

"My friend and I have been swimming in the Pacific every weekend [since early May], and I lost 35 pounds! I learned that if you say you're meeting someone at 8 a.m. on a Sunday, you have to show up," Weatherly told Closer Weekly.

Weatherly was training for the Nautica Malibu Triathalon, which he completed on Sept. 14. The course included a "½ mile swim, 18 mile bike ride and 4 mile run through Malibu, CA."

In 2012, Weatherly told Details Magazine that he had been a runner for years.

"I started running around my 30th birthday," he told the publication. "I wanted to lose weight; I didn't anticipate the serenity. Being in motion, suddenly my body was busy and so my head could work out some issues I had swept under a carpet of wine and cheese. Good therapy, that's a good run. And I like to sweat. It's better than being cold. I like hot countries."

The actor also revealed that he enjoyed running the L.A. marathon, and referred to the activity as "communal and wild and a gigantic challenge."

After that major achievement, Weatherly admitted that he feels unstoppable and capable of accomplishing many things.
