Old habits die hard. Steve Ballmer may have paid $2 billion for the Los Angeles Clippers, but he's still a Microsoft man at heart. On Thursday, Ballmer said in an interview that the Clippers will most likely get rid of its iPads, Reuters reports.

"Most of the Clippers are on Windows, some of the players and coaches are not," Ballmer said. He added that Clippers coach Doc Rivers "kind of knows that's a project."

Rivers asked Ballmer if the team's iPads were long for this world. The Clippers owner admitted the franchise will probably stop using the tablets next offseason. Ballmer will most likely replace the iPads with the Microsoft Surface tablets, which Ballmer helped introduce before leaving Microsoft.

Ballmer's loyalty is consistent as his own family is even banned from using iPhones.

Microsoft reached a $400 million multi-year deal with the NFL this season to provide franchises with Surface tablets. Undoubtedly, Ballmer would like to spearhead a similar arrangement with the NBA.
