"The Vampire Diaries'" Nina Dobrev is crossing over to "The Originals" - but not as Elena or Katherine.

In an interview with E! Online, executive producer and show runner Julie Plec revealed that Dobrev is set to play original doppelganger Tatia in the spinoff series. Dobrev's character will appear in a flashback scene during an episode set to air on Nov. 3.

Tatia was introduced during season three of 'TVD' and is known as the vampire who stole the hearts of Klaus [Joseph Morgan] and Elijah [Daniel Gillies]. The episode will further illustrate her "complicated" relationship with the brothers.

"There's a lot of people that could cross over, and when we plan our crossovers, we like to think of the most clever way to integrate 'The Vampire Diaries' mythology into 'The Originals' mythology," Plec told E! News.

"There was a character's name introduced a long time ago in season three in association with Klaus and Elijah and how they became vampires and a girl that they both loved a long time ago who was the original doppelganger, Tatia. So Nina Dobrev will be visiting 'The Originals' for a nice little storyline in our fifth episode, which airs November 3."

Plec revealed that Tatia is a part of the show's history and is considered a "dangling chad. Tatia's presence is sure to cause some major controversy between the two brothers - sound familiar.

"What we remember from 'The Vampire Diaries', for those who watch both shows, is that [Klaus and Elijah] both loved her, so it's a little bit of history repeating itself like with Stefan [Paul Wesley] and Damon [Ian Somerhalder]."

She continued, "And then Esther [Alice Evans], their mother, killed her so that she could make Klaus not a hybrid. There's lots of secrets and scandal and romance and terrible tragedy attached to her character. We'll get to go back into the past to see how that all played out."

"The Originals" season two is set to premiere on Monday Oct. 6 at 8 p.m. on the CW network and season six of "The Vampire Diaries" premieres Thursday Oct. 2 at 8 p.m.

Mark your calendars.
