The new iteration of the popular Angry Birds game from Rovio will showcase popular robot franchise Transformers set to debut worldwide next month.

Rovio, the developer of the popular Angry Birds game, is taking it to a whole new level. The all-new Angry Birds Transformers will bring the popular 1980s action series in the original bird game. The new title adds to the wide range of Angry Birds titles released in the past. Rovio has built the Transformers version of the game from the ground up with a new concept of side-scrolling shooting game.

Angry Birds Transformers will be available on two major mobile platforms, iOS and Android, starting next month. Players can choose to play as the Autobirds or Decemtihog, and face-off the wild Eggbots, PCMag reports. Gamers will be able to shift between car form and robot, which makes sense given the Transformers theme.

"Take out swarms of enemies and topple piggy towers with strategically placed shots-but leave the slingshot at home 'cos these birds are packin' some serious firepower," the game's YouTube trailer description says.

The new mash-up is a result of Rovio's partnership with one of the largest toy makers in the world, Hasbro, which was announced in June. At the time, Hasbro said the new set of products slated for year end release will allow fans to teleport their favorite Angry Birds Transformers characters into the game and gain unique power.

Angry Birds Transformers is set for a global launch on iOS platform, Oct. 15, while the Android version of the game will be released on Oct. 30, the publisher wrote in the company's official blog post, Thursday. The new Angry Birds title will also be available on Amazon Appstore starting Nov. 5. While the rest of the world will be able to download the mobile game next month, gamers in Japan will have to wait.

Rovio released a trailer for the new game title on YouTube, which is embedded below.
