Samsung fans in the U.S. will only have to wait until Friday, Sept. 26th to get their hands on the tech giant's new Galaxy Alpha smartphone.

The device will be made available exclusively on AT&T, which announced Monday that it will sell the phone online as well as in its retail stores, according to CNET. The phone will be available in several offerings, such as $200 with a two-year contract, $25.55 per month with the carrier's Next18 installment plan, $30.65 per month with the Next12 program, and $613 without a contract.

The main attraction for the Alpha is that it's the first Galaxy phone to feature a metal frame instead of a plastic one.

The South Korean company plans to include metal in other devices as well, such as the upcoming Galaxy Note 4, International Business Times reported.

Additional features of the new phone include a 2.5GHz quad-core chip, 32GB of internal storage, a 12-megapixel camera on the back and a 2.1 megapixel camera on the front. The device also comes with a 4.7-inch 1,280x720 Super AMOLED display, which has a lower resolution than Samsung's Galaxy S and Galaxy Note devices.

The Alpha also includes a selective focus feature, the ability to take panoramic photos, and real-time high-dynamic-range (HDR) so it can take pictures at different exposures to capture the best photo, CNET reported.

The device's Ultra Power Saving Mode serves to save battery life by keeping the phone alive with a 10 percent charge for up to 24 hours. While the screen is turned black and non-critical apps are turned off, the user will still be able to receive phone calls and text messages.

Another feature is Privacy Mode, which allows owners to use passwords or fingerprints to keep important information safe, CNET reported. The phone and its S Health app also come with health-related features, such as tracking the user's heart rate and the amount of footsteps they've taken.

Customers will have three colors to choose from when they buy the Alpha- Charcoal Black, Dazzling White, and Frosted Gold.
