No celebrity who walked a red carpet escaped the wrath of Joan Rivers on “Fashion Police.” Her one-liner take downs and biting criticism will be missed on the E! series that will continue despite her sudden death earlier this month.

“We are deeply saddened by the loss of Joan Rivers and, for the last two weeks, have turned our attention to honoring her memory on all of our platforms,” E! said in a statement. “We have also thought long and hard about what Joan would have wanted as it pertains to the future of ‘Fashion Police.’ We decided, with Melissa Rivers’ blessing, that Joan would have wanted the franchise to continue.”

The regular panel of Giuliana Rancic, Kelly Osbourne and George Kotsiopoulos will continue the weekly round up of Hollywood fashion, but the show will remain on hiatus until the 2015 awards season begins. E! wouldn’t release any further details.

Rivers’ co-hosts and her daughter Melissa paid tribute to the comedy legend in a special episode of “Fashion Police: Celebrating Joan” on Sept 19. E! also ran previous episodes of the show all day leading up to the special.

Melissa revealed the White House sent her a handwritten condolence letter after her mother’s passing.

"I received a letter from the White House, President Obama, someone who was often a target of her jokes, as was Mrs. Obama, but I received a hand-written note saying 'Not only did she make us laugh, she made us think,'" she said.

Rivers’ only child released a statement the day of her mother’s death thanking fans for their overwhelming show of love and support for her and her family.

“Cooper and I have found ourselves humbled by the outpouring of love, support, and prayers we have received from around the world,” she said in the Sept. 4 statement.

“They have been heard and appreciated. My mother’s greatest joy in life was to make people laugh. Although that is difficult to do right now, I know her final wish would be that we return to laughing soon.”
