Taylor Swift loves "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" so much she named her cat Olivia Benson after the lead character, played by Mariska Hargitay. The NBC series and its star want to invite the super fan to the show to either fight crime or stir up some trouble.

"Hey @taylorswift13 I think it's time u come Guest on #SVU & help reduce crime or create some?" the show's casting director Jonathan Strauss tweeted on Sept. 19.

Hargitay seconded his request with a retweet and added, "I could use the backup." "SVU" staff writer Robert B. Cohen also tweeted that he "would die" if SVU scored her for a guest stint.

"Olivia x's 2 = unstoppable," Hargitay tweeted in response to Cohen.

She also reached out to Swift earlier this month when she found an animal collar with a heart charm hanging from it that read "Olivia Benson."

"Hey @TaylorSwift13 did ur kitten #ShakeItOff? #IKnewSheWasTrouble Maybe #SheBelongsWithMe This Sgt wants 2 collar her," Hargitay tweeted on Sept. 8.

The "Shake It Off" singer hit the streets of New York City on Tuesday with her fluffy, white kitty in tow. She let the "SVU" star know they had the city covered.

"Hey, @Mariska and @nbcsvu, if you noticed less crime in NYC today.. It's cause the other Olivia Benson was on patrol," Swift tweeted. She has not yet responded to the recent casting request.

Swift guest-starred on "SVU" procedural competitor "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" on CBS in 2009. She also made an appearance on Fox's "New Girl" last season. She named another of her cat's Meredith after the "Grey's Anatomy" character Meredith Grey played by Ellen Pompeo.

"Law & Order: SVU" will premiere for season 16 on Wednesday, Sept. 24 at 9 p.m. on NBC. Hargitay has starred on the show since the pilot.
