The official trailer for “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1” has reached more than 4.5 million views on YouTube in one day.

The video has received 4,590,373 views since its release on Sept. 15. The teaser featured Katniss Everdeen as she prepares for battle in order to save Peeta Mellark from the Capitol.

“Mockingjay” director Francis Lawrence dished details about the film during an interview with Entertainment Weekly back in August. Lawrence explained the production wanted to add elements to “Mockingjay Part 1” that couldn’t be seen in the novels.

"The Hunger Games” trilogy was told through the perspective of Katniss, but the film wanted to explore what was going on around the heroine. Scenes were added to explain what was going on in District 13, The Captiol and more, according to Lawrence.

“For us it’s world expansion instead of changing things,” the director told EW. “I think it’s exciting for the fan to see certain things. So we’ve been able to open the world up in this and see some new places. We get to see some new districts this time and the scope gets quite large.”

Lawrence assured fans the film won’t be overwhelmingly dark and will contain some light moments. However, the action will be bigger than ever as it’s the first time viewers will get to see Panem at war.

“There’s definitely some battles. There’s some of the first glimpses of real war in this movie. And the scale gets quite big,” Lawrence told EW. “There’s an atonal shift from some of the last movies, but they’re still very emotional, very sweeping, [on a] grand scale with some levity and humor.”
