The late comedian Robin Williams, who committed suicide in August, has been attacked repeatedly by some Christian broadcasters who never met him.

American Family Association radio host Bryan Fischer claimed in late August that Williams was "demonized" and "opened himself up to transformative demonic powers," according to RightWingWatch.org.

"I think the chances were very, very good that Robin Williams was demonized, that Robin Williams was afflicted, oppressed by demons, and that Robin Williams himself acknowledged that," stated Fischer. "Was Robin Williams demon possessed? And the answer to that question, using the vernacular, is very likely, the answer to that question is yes."

Pat Robertson also used Williams' death as a recruiting tool on Aug. 27 to get people to become Christians, noted RightWingWatch.org

"You see these very popular people in the media who commit suicide like Robin Williams recently and you say, what is the deal with him? What happened?" stated Robertson. "Well, you see, the God of the heathen are idols and everything that you seek in life can ruin you unless that somebody is God himself."

"He can fill your every need and you won't want to commit suicide after you have come to him," added Robertson.

Robertson didn't mention that Williams suffered from depression, like tens of millions of Americans, and had the early stages of Parkinson's Disease, Rolling Stone reported.

There were also numerous suicides in 2013 by Christian pastors, noted Charisma News.

Someone who knew Williams closely, actor and comedian Billy Crystal, offered a tribute to Williams during the Emmy Awards broadcast.

However, that tribute included a clip of Williams placing a pink scarf around his head and joking, "I would like welcome you to Iran... Help me," which some people found racist, noted The Independent.
