The prison in Colombia's capitol is overcrowded, causing the criminals to spill out and be held at a local playground.

About 40 criminals are handcuffed to each other, a fence, and even a slide, reports the Associated Press. The criminals were charged of various crimes from drug trafficking to robbery.

"We worry about safety," Jaime Rojas, who lives nearby, tells AP. "The children and my 9-year-old daughter can't come to the park and see this spectacle."

The park is being guarded by six police officers at a time that rotate shifts every eight hours.

The detention center, where the criminals are supposed to be, has a capacity to hold 70 prisoners, but rarely has a daily population under 100, reports AP.
