After today's unveiling of the iPhone 6, prices for the older models are dropping fast.

The mark-downs on the 5S and 5C began before the 6 was even revealed. Prices dropped as soon as Apple announced the launch of the iPhone 6, Hallels reported.

The original price of the iPhone 5S was $648, and it has recently decreased to $600.

Today, the iPhone 5S price is getting slashed down to $99, according to the Verge.

"It's probably the most logical thing Apple could have done with its increasingly complicated iPhone lineup - the iPhone 5C is essentially 2012's iPhone 5, and Apple has traditionally put its two-year-old phones in the free price slot," The Verge said about Apple's decision for the new pricing of the iPhone 5S.

Today's iPhone 6 launch also marks the death of the iPhone 4S. Apple is no longer selling this version of the iPhone, similar to their decision that halted the production of the iPhone 4 last year when the 5S was debuted.
