Google Play Store's "Devices" section has been updated with the web giant's widely-popular Google Glass Explorer Edition for $1500.

It was only a matter of time before Google made its next move with Google Glass. The Internet search titan updated its device store in Play Store with new devices and accessories. Among these is Google's coveted Explorer edition of the Glass. Available for buyers in the U.S. and U.K., the Glass is on sale for the same price of $1500. The wearable eyewear is still not a finished product and has a long way ahead, but this move puts Google on the forefront of the wearable tech race.

Google had a stringent process of selling its Glass to consumers. The Mountain View based tech giant started off by taking pre-orders for its Glass in 2012, but limited the purchase to 2,000 Explorers. Slowly, the network expanded with 8,000 more buyers then started accepting friend referrals last year. The first commercial availability started in April, through its one-day sale. After making it cavailable in the U.S. and U.K. this year, the Glass finally made its way to the official digital store for all Google products.

Google Glass sits alongside other products such as Nexus smartphones and tablets, Samsung and LG smartwatches and the latest Moto 360. This new move can also mean that the company is not far from its scheduled release for the Glass. Over the last two years, the gadget had several upgrades, ranging from its interface to design in collaboration with companies like Oakley and Ray Ban.

As per the Play Store listing, the Glass can be paired with shades or lens frames during the first-buy. The Glass can project a high-res display equivalent to a 25-inch HD screen at a distance of eight feet. It can take pictures from the 5MP camera and record videos at 720p resolution. The Glass features Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Micro USB for connectivity options and a 12GB storage. Powered by Android 4.4 KitKat, which was released in April, the Glass can run for a day with typical usage but videos can make the run-time shorter.

If you can spend $1500 on the pricey wearable gadget, then head over to the Play Store and place the order.
