A line full of Apple fans has already formed outside the tech giant's flagship store on Fifth Avenue in New York City in anticipation of the iPhone 6's debut.

Apple isn't expected to make any announcements about the new handset for a few days, and it is also not expected to be selling any new devices for at least another two weeks, according to Business Insider.

"Apple Store on 57th & 5th. Ever seen a line start 6 days early for an Android phone?" tech investor Dan Benton wrote in a tweet on Wednesday, adding a picture of people camping outside the store.

While iPhone 6 is expected to be launched next week, fans have been surveying the store since Aug. 31, The Telegraph reported.

The stake-out comes a week after Apple sent out media invitations for a "special event" that will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 9 at the Flint Center for the Performing Arts at De Anza in San Francisco.

The iPhone 6 is expected to be available in two sizes as well as include a stronger screen display than previous iPhones, Business Insider reported.

Cousins Brian Ceballo and Joseph Cruz from phone buy-back service BuyBackWorld.com were the first in line in front of the Apple store, but they sold their spots for $1,250 to Mississippi actress and model Moon Ray and her husband, Jason, USA Today reported. The cousins are promoting a new telemedicine app called VideoMedicine while they wait in line.

Ceballo and Cruz have been on line since Aug. 31, which would make their total wait 20 days. The cousins set a personal record of 15 days that they set last year, and are looking to break it this year.

"I've never owned an iPhone before and I'm excited," Moon Ray said. "I hear it'll have a shatter proof glass or a Sapphire glass, and that's really convenient."
