Your childhood's favorite doll is now on Instagram. Yes! Barbie now has her own Instagram account, thanks to her makers , the American toy-company Mattel  Inc.

Your Instagram feed is probably already full of street style stars and their enviable ensembles, but there's a new account you're going to want to follow right now. Barbie (yes, the doll) has joined Instagram to document her experiences as she travels to New York, London, Milan and Paris for each city's fashion week festivities.  On her account, @BarbieStyle, Barbie has already posted 12 photos and a video of her stylish outfits, travel essentials and daily activities. She already has over 99,000 hits.

Barbie's first post was of a denim look that she styled with a yellow cross-body bag and pink high heels.

"I'm an American girl that loves American style. An easy denim look made chic with sunny accessories and of course, a pop of pink!," she captioned the image.

Barbie is no stranger to the fashion industry. In addition to collaborating with the likes of Karl Lagerfeld, Donna Karan, Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, Christian Dior, Oscar de la Renta and Vera Wang, the doll also hosted a runway show in New York to celebrate her 50th anniversary. And this season during New York Fashion Week, Barbie will hold a party co-hosted by the CFDA in the city's Meatpacking district.

Most recently, it was announced that in September, Mattel will launch three Barbie-inspired apparel and accessories collections created in collaboration with Forever 21, Lord & Taylor and Wildfox.

These three collaborations (and likely the new Instagram account) are part of an effort to re-establish Barbie as a fashion icon.

"I think what people pay attention to is Barbie the toy, and what we're trying to focus on is that Barbie is a brand much bigger than an 11-inch fashion doll," Jessica Dunne, Mattel's general manager and senior vice president, consumer products,  told WWD.

"This fall really is the start of what is a multi-year focus and priority for us."
