HTC joins the club of rumored devices with its smartwatch reported to be available in stores in September.

The report was released by @upleaks, a new China-based rumor page, which said on Friday that the device will be called HTC CWZ and run on Google's Android Wear software, according to CNET.

The smartwatch is expected to be available in several markets around the world, including North America, Brazil, Japan and Korea.

If the rumor is proven accurate, HTC would be the fifth company reported to be releasing a new device in September, Tom's Guide reported.

The smartwatch is not the only rumored device coming from HTC, with @upleaks saying the Taiwanese tech company's WWY fitness tracker could be an 1.8-inch smartwatch that is resistant to water and dust. The same account tweeted later that the HTC WWY could be a wristband featuring a curved touch-screen display that tracks heart rate and movement, similar to Samsung's Gear Fit.

Rumors about HTC's smartwatch began in February, when Cher Wang, chairwoman of the company, said HTC will make a smartwatch available in stores by the holiday shopping season, CNET reported. However, she didn't mention the device's release date or what features it would have.

An official video released last month featured an unannounced HTC smartwatch, though the company claimed it was not working on a product like the one in the video. Another report suggested that the smartwatch would be released in late August or early September and would be called One Wear.

The credibility of @upleaks has not been determined yet, but it received approval on Aug. 9 in a tweet from @evleaks, Tom's Guide reported.

The rumored smartwatch would put HTC in competition with other companies involved in the wearable market, such as Samsung, which introduced its Gear S smartwatch this week, CNET reported. Other companies that have already released or plan to release smartwatches include Sony, LG and Motorola. Apple is also rumored to announce a wearable device called iWatch on Sept. 9 at its iPhone 6 launch event.
