Professional wrestling icon Jake "The Snake" Roberts has reportedly been hospitalized after collapsing on a flight to Las Vegas on Wednesday.

An ambulance was sent to Roberts' plane after he passed out and slipped into a coma that lasted for almost 24 hours, according to Wrestling Inc.. The ambulance then took him to a hospital in the city.

Roberts was diagnosed with double pneumonia at the hospital. He was originally going to Las Vegas to attend a Freak Wrestling event on Friday night. SiNN Bodhi from Freakshow, who said he has been trained by Roberts, has been at the hospital and gave an update of Roberts' condition on Twitter, The Huffington Post reported.

"With @JackSnakeDDT at hospital, he's more worried about disappointing fans than getting better! We told him 2 shut up &beat this phnemonia!" Bodhi wrote.

Fellow wrestling legend and Roberts' friend Diamond Dallas Page said on Thursday that Roberts has come out of his coma. Page also used Twitter to give an update on Roberts' condition, saying that he spoke to Roberts' girlfriend and that he is fading in and out, Wrestling Inc. reported.

"My brother @JakeSnakeDDT is currently hospitalized & undergoing care; latest info buff.ly/XWzFXp Please keep Jake in your prayers," Page wrote.

Roberts, 59, had a historic career in the 1980s while working for what was then known as the WWF. However, he also battled drug addiction. Roberts said in an interview with WWE.com earlier this year that he has overcome his addiction thanks to Page and his DDP Yoga program.

Roberts was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in April along with Warrior, a.k.a. Ultimate Warrior, who died a few days later due to a cardiovascular disease.
