Talk about unwanted houseguests!

A New York woman was shocked to find that 50,000 bees were living in the celling of her apartment, according to WABC.

Frieda Turkmenilli, from Queens, said she noticed some bees around her apartment over the last few weeks but didn't think it was anything to be worried about - until her neighbors complained to Mike Candan, the building manager.

With the help of professional beekeepers Anthony Planakis and Larry Stone, they discovered 50,000 bees had taken up residence in the ceiling of her home.

"I was shocked," Turkmenilli said Thursday.

The bees were removed from the home humanely and were taken to a bee farm in upstate New York, along with the 17 honeycombs they made, according to WABC.

"It's pretty amazing to think they found this one little hole and they went in and set up shop and started making honey," Candan said.

But Turkmenillli seems to miss the buzzing creatures.

"I would love to have had them and had honey, you know?"
