It looks like Beyonce will be attending the 2014 MTV VMAs without her husband Jay Z. Hollywood Life saw a glimpse of the seating chart and spotted Beyonce's name but noted that there was not a seat card for the "Magna Carta" rapper.

The two have been plagued with rumors of a divorce for the past month but before fans jump to too many conclusions, there are a number of reasons why Jay might skip the ceremony. Maybe the couple couldn't find a baby-sitter for Blue Ivy? Maybe Jay Z will be a surprise guest during Beyonce's performance? Or maybe the two want to continue fueling the rumor mill?

Not only will Beyonce perform during the awards show but she is also receiving the Video Vanguard Award. According to Hollywood Life there are still plenty of open seats next to the "Drunk in Love" singer, so she could bring along a few people at the last minute.

Media Take Out reported that someone close to the awards show revealed that the 33-year-old singer will perform a 15-minute medley of her entire surprise, self-titled album. For those who didn't get a chance to see Beyonce and Jay Z during their "On The Run" tour, MTO claims her set will be like a mini-concert.

It was previously rumored that Beyonce wanted to address the Jay Z divorce rumors during her performance. A source told Hollywood Life that Queen B would either confirm or deny the rumors.

"Beyonce wants to tackle the rumors in the best way she knows how, on stage," the source said. "During her performance, she is looking to do something to hopefully silence all the haters and the critics but, in true entertainment fashion, to make even more questions come out of it. She wants to make a statement that people will be talking about for a very long time."

It's not clear what Beyonce plans on saying about the divorce rumors but we have a feeling it will definitely be headline-worthy. After all, the last time she performed on the VMAs (in 2011) she announced her pregnancy with daughter Blue Ivy.
