“Guardians of the Galaxy” star Chris Pratt brought his Star Lord persona to Children's Hospital Los Angeles on Wednesday.

E! Online reports Pratt dressed in character to visit patients, families and staff at the hospital for a special screening. Pratt also brought smiles to patients in the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit, the Children's Center for Cancer and Blood Diseases and the Pediatric ICU, as their conditions left them unable to watch “Guardians of the Galaxy” with the other children.

The actor reportedly spent time with one patient who was a big fan of his work in “The Lego Movie” as the voice of Emmet Brickowoski. Pratt spent 10 minutes with Dylan Prunt reciting lines from the film. Pratt also let children wear his Star Lord apparel and signed autographs for fans.

“Star Lord [Chris Pratt] cheered up our patients by sharing [Guardians Of The Galaxy]! Thanks for making them smile,” the Children's Hospital Los Angeles posted on their Twitter account.

Pratt, 35, has had some practice with children as he fathered two-year-old son Jack with wife Anna Farris. The actor recently spoke to PEOPLE magazine about a time Jack was upset and couldn’t calm him.

Pratt decided it would be best to expose his son to something he enjoyed on YouTube. Soon Jack’s tears turned into giggles with the help of Monster Truck clips.

"He was crying the other day, and I had him on my lap,” Pratt said. “So we watched this 15-minute highlight reel of Grave Digger on YouTube, and dude, it was so badass! He and I both were just wide-eyed. Now he goes around saying, 'Monster trucks, monster trucks!'"
