The National Football League announced Wednesday that its NFL Now service has been made available on Apple TV.

The move follows the introduction of the digital network to online streaming services earlier this month, according to CNET. NFL Now provides football fans with free access to a variety of on-demand videos, which includes game highlights, press conferences and videos made by NFL Films and the league's 32 teams.

Other services that currently feature NFL Now include those from Roku and Microsoft's Xbox. The network was also launched on mobile devices from Android, iOS and Windows Phone, as well as on NFL.com/Now.

Fans are given up to 4,800 minutes of team coverage each week, which helps them follow their favorite teams, Mac Rumors reported. However, games will not be streamed live - customers will have to download the NFL Mobile app to watch these games.

In addition to NFL Now shows and features, the network is also available in a premium version for $1.99 a month in the U.S., giving fans access to near-instant in-game highlights, along with historic footage, documentaries, and shows, CNET reported.

The NFL is using NFL Now as a way to get more involved in online streaming and provide its fans with more information and videos about football. The league said it wants to make the network available on other services as well, such as Amazon Fire TV, Kindle Fire, Yahoo Screen and Yahoo Sports, at the beginning of the 2014 season, which starts on Sept. 4th.
