Wow, that was fast! Just two months after getting married, "19 Kids and Counting" star Jill Duggar and husband Derick Dillard are expecting their first child together.

"We're having a baby!" Duggar told People Magazine. "We are so excited."

The 23-year-old star is due in March of next year. She revealed to People Magazine that after several pregnancy tests came back negative, she was "persuaded by her sisters" to take one of her mother's tests while visiting her parents' home.

The test came back positive.

"It was more like to prove them wrong, like 'I'm not pregnant. I'm going to show you so,'" she recalled. "We came out with kind of shocked look[s] on our faces. They were like 'you are?'"

Patriarch Jim Bob Duggar told People that "almost 30 days after Jill and Derick got married they gathered everyone in the living room and shared the news. Everyone was clapping and cheering, and we were in shock, too."

The couple, who wed on June 21 in Springdale, Ark., in front of 1,000 guests, called the news surreal and added that they were shocked but excited. Duggar and Dillard did not hold hands until they got engaged on March 29, due to their family's strict "courting" rule. They shared their first kiss on their wedding day.

A representative for TLC said the network is "thrilled" for the newlyweds.

The good news comes less than a week after the reality star's younger sister Jessa Duggar announced her engagement to Ben Seewald, whom she has been courting with for 11 months. She will become the third member of her family walk down the aisle.

"19 Kids and Counting's" new season begins Sept. 2 at 9 p.m. ET.
